Growing Up

People can grow up too fast or as slow as they want. Either way i believe that it can be both a good and bad thing. Growing up means that you have to become more mature about most situations. While i choose to remain with the maturity level of a 12 year old i can be either childish or serious in given situations. Sometimes growing up can be a painful thing, as you see your childhood friends and acquaintances getting into things that will do them harm in the future. It can be painful as you drift apart from your older friends into your own life of challenges and triumphs. Growing up i believe has good qualities also. Older people may respect you more when acting civilized in certain places. You begin to make new friends as you grow older, depending on your life choices that can be a good or bad thing. I like to look at new friends as a good thing; ready to experience new relationships with new people.

A Well Ordered Family

I learned that the Husband was the main governor of the household and the wife should be cheerful and obedient. The thing that most surprised me was how little credit was given to the women. They have to clean, cook, bear children and countless other hings. Literally no credit was given to them but to serve the husband. Today women are just as equal as men for anything. Most women wont put up with being under the husband. Some things about the article were true though. Things such as loving her as she was his own flesh and that he must not treat her like a servant. The part that stuck out to me the most was when it stated that even if your wife isn't so you, beautiful or has brought you fortune like other women to their men, she is still your wife and God commands you to love her.
